Mount Nebo

MT-NEBO-detailMount Nebo rises 1,350 feet up from the Arkansas River Valley floor. The state’s third highest peak is a favorite for bicyclists due to the challenging climb, scenic views, and thrilling downhill runs. Mountain bikers love the 4.5 mile Bench Trail that makes a loop around the natural terrace. Native stones and logs were used by the Civilian Conservations Corps in the 1930s to build the 10 rustic cabins as well as the bridges, trails and park pavilions. There are also 34 campsites available. Both Mount Nebo and Mount Magazine State Parks offer launch sites for hang gliders.
